2. The card I have is used with a worksheet, and I assume it has something to do with the differences between a country mouse and a city mouse, & what they think of a farm.
3. I think this falls under cognitive (it lets them think about the situation, & the different mouses), artistic (because they can color the picture)
4. We could sing farm songs, because the card has a picture of a farm on it.

This week I was activities, and it went great! The preschoolers that I would say are my favorites would be the triplets (Regan, Kelsey), and Zoey. I have been spending quite a bit of time after activities with Regan and Kelsey, playing with blocks, and drawing with chalk. Zoey liked to sit near me at circle, but since we are no longer 3rd period circle, I don't see her as often, which is not a bad thing. I don't think that any of them are "missing out", because they come to me more often than me going to them. For example, I was siting near the chalk, putting it back into the bucket, while Regan & Kelsey came up to me and started to draw. I agree that they need to play with the other preschoolers more often.

This week as director, everything went smoothly, it was a lot less stressful than I thought. On the topic of Felix's behavior, I agree and notice how he has begun to act more angrily and fussy. To help fix this, I think that all of us teachers should not encourage this inappropriate behavior exhibited by Felix, and fix it to the best of our ability. Part of this is also teaching him the right way to act, so he gets rid of the bad behavior all together. Something else we can do to stop this bad behavior is to NOT IGNORE THE PROBLEM. If we see a preschooler doing something bad, fix it, let them know that it is not okay, instead of watching them and walking away because you "don't want to deal with that". It is our jobs as teachers to guide them, and set them in the right direction!

This week I was a buddy. I noticed circle lacking a little as well.. I think it could have been planned out better so that we had no down time to sit and do nothing. To improve this, I think that we should over plan, and make sure the activity will take up enough time, and also to be sure that we will have enough activities to do during circle. But other than that I think it went well! Can't wait for the upcoming week! :)

I think that my expectations of the preschool were different than reality. I expected it to be a lot more stressful, and hard to keep the kids focused and entertained, but it's actually quite easy if you get them interested in playing. My expectations of running the preschool was that it would be hard to maintain everything going on, but since there were so many of us (teachers) to help with the kids, it moved smoothly. One instance that I thought was going to be hard was getting all the kids to come to circle and be quiet, but it was somewhat easy because we had lots of teachers to help get them focused and sitting down. I had a great time this week, and can't wait for next week! :)

This week I was in the special Ed classroom. I learned quite a lot of things from being there this week! It was a great opportunity for me to see how the students learn and interact with each other. The students all participated and learned at different paces, so it was important to go slow and move forward at a pace that worked for each student. Clara, Emily, and I were able to sit with a different student each day, and learn what they're capable of and what they needed some help on. Overall, I think this week was great, but I can't wait to get back to the preschool!

This week my job was circle, I enjoyed doing so many fun activities with the kids. and spending time with them. The best moment I had of this week was doing my felt story because it was fun giving the kids the felt pieces and watching them look for the matching picture in the book and then coming up to put it on the board. I learned from this that the kids have fun interacting and being a part of an activity. It's great to watch them get excited when they see their matching felt piece and bring it to the board to put it up. This week was great, and I can't wait for next week!
